How do you feel about new people jumping into your life? #NaBloPoMo

I love when new people jump into my life.  I feel so blessed to have made so many new connections in the last 9 months with so many other amazing moms.

This school year many new moms have joined my circle of friends.  I have forged friendships due to children the same age, or children with similar interests.  Also, some of these friendships have formed out of remarkably similar life experiences.  Coincidence--I think not!

The one character flaw I have about meeting new people is I am slow to warm up.  What I mean by slow to warm up is that it will take me some time before I will feel comfortable enough to invite you to my home.

I am not a natural born hostess.  I feel too inadequate and self conscious.  My mind always asks:  What would we eat, what would we do, what would we talk about?

I'm going to try better to jump out of my shell of self-consciousness.  Please do not take offense if I haven't invited you over for a playdate, yet.  I'm working on it because we Moms need other Mom friends.

Are you on Pinterest? If you are like me you pin & pin, but never make time to complete any of you pinning projects. I have so many pins I would love to attempt, but up to this point I have not found the time to try any of them. Well, things are changing here at Mama Bucks. Starting this week I am going to jump right into attempting one pin each week. I promise to share my successes and failures with you. Being creative is something my mind craves. And we as mother's need to take care of ourselves, too. I will post a link up so we can jump into this venture together. Will you join me?

Jump {Into Summer}

It has begun...with 4 days left in the school year the neighborhood children are ready for summer vacation. The trampoline jumping has begun.  This Mama has only days left to prepare for what is sure to be another fun-filled summer filled with popsicles, kids running in and out of the house, swimming & smores.  I remember as a child how much promise and excitement the summer held.  Promises of exploring new things on a family vacation to a destination you had never been.  Or, the excitement of backyard slumber parties in a tent.  I love the summer and all the buzz & chaos it creates in our tight knit neigborhood.  I love sunny days spent with my kids at the pool. I love the taste of an ice cream cone from one of our local ice cream shops.  And, I love having all my babies home all day with me.  I am certainly ready to Jump into summer vacation are you?
